After coming back from Nashville, we did some basic preparations to leave, but decided because we had no locks the next day that we would leave a bit later. Fortunately we did, as there was early fog that burned off by mid-morning and we headed out of the Green Turtle Bay marina into Barkley Lake, and after a couple of miles transited the canal the connects the Barkely and Kentucky Lakes as well as the Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers. We then headed down the beautiful Tennessee River with the foliage beginning to change.

We had a trek of about 93 miles to Cuba Landing Marina - the marina that we had seen from I-40 5 days previously - roughly halfway through Tennessee, between Kentucky and Mississippi. We fueled up, docked in a somewhat dark covered slip, and had an early night in preparation for the next day's journey. The foliage surrounding the marina on the river was spectacular.
